Hence the thinner tone in the beginning. But don't worry, there's some flanging going on as well. The flanging stops when I flip the switch and the bridge pickup's wiring jumps from parallel to series. And then another change takes place: I stomp on a pedal that enables me to go from the entirely clean Roland JC sound to the VOX crunch. Playing dynamics can control the amount of breakup, so the very end of the song is almost as if I engaged a dirt pedal. It of course wasn't the case, but it sure sounds like that. The Schecter SGR S-1 electric guitar did a great job withstanding my playing quirks.
